Welcome

Welcome to Rockford Cocoaheads!

What is this all about?

The club usually meets the second Wednesday of each month from 6-7pm. The club is for anyone interested in photography, web design, programming, networking, robots, ethical hacking, mobile apps, etc. Each month a student or guest speaker presents on a topic the members decide on. We eat pizza and discuss the latest geek news. So, if any of this interest you show up next Wednesday meeting at 6pm. I provide the pizza, you provide the creativity and geekness! – Prof Konkol

Hot off the press! 3D Printer iPhone 5 Case

Hot off the Presses! 3D Printer iPhone 5 Case

60 people showed up last night to learn about 3D Printing. Russ Dulaney, from Dulaney Drafting and Design, gave a passionate talk on his journey to becoming a 3D Print shop. Russ also fielded questions from the audience ranging from technical to investment opportunities in 3D Printing. After his talk, the audience was given a 3D Prototype bottle opener and were encouraged to come and look at the 3D printer up close and ask Russ further questions. Around 25 people stayed for an impromptu 3D print demo of an iPhone 5 case and got a chance to see Professor Konkol have his head scanned with a portable 3D scanner.
